UNPLOTTED, ATMOSPHERIC STORY

JM,

As a result marami ka tuloy tanong at the end of the movie.

Auggie:

Lahat ng films ni ALTMAN ay unplotted.

Now I haven't seen PLONING.
I'd have to go to Filipino stores to find this. However, you can actually figure it out by answering some questions about the film:

1. If the character has a clearcut PURPOSE early on, chances are, it is a plotted story.

BTW, I just attended a lecture an hour ago from sikat na Spanish Painter na si Senior JUVENAL SANSO. Taga Pamplona, Spain ba siya ?

Juvenal sanso? I heard of him when I was living in RP. He must be a contemporary of ALCUAS & my Porf in FEU in Humanities, GALO OCAMPO. I'm not sure of Sanso's ethnicity, though.

Pure Castilian si Senior Sanso. Born in Spain, grew up in the Philippines and lived in Paris. UP FINE ARTS graduate din siya. Professor daw niya si Amorsolo pero hindi siya Social Realist, kundi more of a modern painter. Ang Patron niya ngayon eh si HENRY SY, patriarch of the SM Mall empire. Mag ka-babata daw sila. His latest opus was a mural he made for his pal which is now on display I think at the MALL OF ASIA.

BTW, what's the difference between a Castilian and a Basque ?

The Basque is the group of people who inhabitedsome parts of north-central Spain and Southwestern France.

They speak both spanish and catalan, because both languages are official in Cataluña.
All the people of Cataluña speak spanish, but all the people don't speak catalan. If you speak in spanish they answer you in spanish.

Spain is divided into 7 autonomies, and each autonomy has its own language (if they have, co-official with spanish of course), its own laws, and its own government.

Catalan is not older than Spanish, they're different languages, which were originated in different regions of Spain at the same time. The only language that is older than all the Spanish languages is Basque, that is a pre-Roman language (It's supposed to be a dialect in Spain before the Roman empire invaded it).

Many Basques are French. My mother was French/Spanish just because my grandfather was french on his mother side and Spanish on his father side.

Though the Basques think of themselves as another group, they're still Spaniards. Like the Quebecois (Franch-Canadians) who want to separate from Canada, the Basque people want to separate from Spain.

Yung POPEYE movie yata ay plotted...

RobbyV:

Yung Popeye was intended as unplotted. Sa katapusan, dahil sa kagigiit ng producer, nauwi ang movie as a MULTIPHASE story and became too disjointed. In the end, both ALTMAN and ROBIN WILLIAMS disowned the film altogether.

JM,

Have you seen THE DARK KNIGHT? Is it a plotted or unplotted story? It seemed to me it was unplotted.

I had an advanced ticket for DARK KNIGHT but when I went to the theater, ang haba ng pila. So hindi ako naghintay. I left. I'll watch it after the dust settle.
